WHO WE ARE
We are a non-partisan cultural and friendship society comprised of dues-paying members. We are not an expat social group, but rather a formally registered association of individuals and families who share a variety of common interests and enjoy activities which combine socializing with information about both Austria and the U.S. Our membership is comprised of students, working adults, retirees, and families. We welcome corporate members and all nationalities.

How we Operate
Our Mission & Vision
The AAS Tirol is a branch association of the Austro-American Society situated and registered in Vienna. The Tirol chapter of the Austro-American Society is formally registered in Innsbruck, operates largely independently of the main Vienna association, but shares the same goals. Our mission is to promote, to deepen and to expand the ties between Austria and the United States of America on all levels of society; to help inform others about the United States, its history, its people and its institutions; and to strengthen cultural understanding, educational and scientific cooperation, and economic endeavors.
What we do
We conduct a variety of regular events throughout each year, from presentations on historical and current events, convivial “Stammtische”, film evenings, school workshops, activities for families with children, nature walks, professional lectures, artistic events and cultural field excursions.
And of course, we observe and celebrate traditional U.S. holidays such as the 4th of July and Thanksgiving.
